Geocache Description:

Fairly easy cache. May requiring a little hunting but should not take long. Clues can be useful.

In 1889, Unadilla, NY was incorporated. Transportation was improved by the many turnpikes that were created during this era. Wattle's Ferry was the ferry used to get across the Susquehanna River and connected the Catskill Turnpike with the Susquehanna Turnpike. Unadilla became the hub of transportation, connecting the Hudson Valley to the Susquehanna Valley by roads and Albany to Binghamton by rail.

This cache is close to where the original Wattle's Ferry crossed the Susquehanna River.

If you have not been to Unadilla, please drive through the village. Main Street is lined with trees and beautiful architecture. I-88 exits 10 and 11 are both Unadilla exits. If you use one exit, you can easily re-enter I-88 using the other once you go through the village.

Nice place for a BBQ. Parking along road.

Plastic peanut butter jar. Log and small trade items. FTF item.
