Geocache Description:

The 9Key Double Challenge

** The cache *is* at the posted coordinates but you must fulfill the requirements for logging a Find.**
Please read carefully below >>

This first part of this challenge cache requires you to find 100 of my hides. Past finds and hides that are now archived are ok. Please continue...

  • In order to qualify for this challenge you'll need to include a screen shot of your 9Key hides from one of the many stats programs out there. If you have trouble with this please contact me and I will help you. No worries! No need for bookmark lists or posting a list of all your finds. Screen shots are easier! If you want to do a bookmark list then go for it.
This will be a fairly easy challenge to qualify for some of the old timers but I added a twist so it's just not an ammo can hidden in a thicket, hence the second part of the challenge. You didn't think I'd make it that easy did you? Then there's the terrain... no trails, thorns, poison plants (in season), burrs, trees, nature, possible snake or two.
  • This is a two stage cache. The posted coordinates are for a small Lock-n-Lock container hidden in undeveloped Culleoka Park. Inside the container you will find a little box and instructions on how to open the box. PLEASE DO NOT USE ANY TOOLS! It is easy (but tricky) enough to open if you carefully follow the instructions. Inside the little box are the coordinates to the final which is an ammo can. Please be sure to follow the instructions to properly close the little box so the next cacher will have the same double challenge that you did. Thanks!
Culleoka Park was originally slated to be developed when the lake was designed but was closed in the late 70's due to lack of funds. I have been given the OK from the local Army Corps of Engineers office that we are allowed on this property. If any one gives you any guff have them call James Murphy at the Lake Lavon office at (972) 442-3141 between 8 and 4:30 M-F.

It should go without saying, but you must sign the log in the ammo can in order to claim a find. Any thing short of that will not count.
