Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT located at the given coordinates. The given coordinates will take you to the visitor parking lot at a school. From there you will need to find this kid friendly cache. The cache is an ammo can just where you think it would be. If you come during the school year during the day, please park in the visitor spots. Nights, weekends, and summers you can park anywhere. I have been given permission from College President Mike Lanser to place this cache on school property.

If you park the car and just really don't know where to begin and start wandering around, you might come across other ammo cans around campus used for other GPS activities and training. The one you are looking for is very specific, clearly labeled with a Geocache sticker on the outside, with the exact coordinates given to you in this cache posting..... in a special format... somewhere!! You should determine the real coordinates before you even take the drive out to campus. If you just start walking a path, you might very well find other containers, but most likely the wrong one.

Seeing we have so many kids that get so excited when they can look for large, relatively easy caches where they can actually trade things, we thought it was about time that we gave back a little by putting this cache out there. Once you figure out where to go, grassy pathways take you right to the cache - no bushwhacking necessary. A disc golf course is at the school as well, so bring a disc along and take advantage of it.

LTC has also recently added an Old Growth Path nature trail through their woods with numbered points of interest. A trail guide can be found at (visit link) explaining what you see at each of the numbered posts.

Good luck searching!

P.S. Take some caution - last Fall wasps built a nest by the cache. I haven't seen them so far this year. Just be careful anywhere you Cache because wasps can build nests quickly and almost anywhere.

FTF honors go to peach107! Congratulations!
