Geocache Description:

The Posted coordinates are NOT THE ACTUAL LOCATION of the hide, so there is NO NEED TO GO SWIMMING. Coordinates at the top of the page will plop you right in the middle of the Red River of the North, and get you well on your way into Manitoba, Canada.

Parking available on either end, but one end is much closer than the other to Ground Zero.

You will need to do some map review to figure out some important numbers you will need, you can even use the 'GC.com' map if you zoom around on it just a bit. Specifically a little south of the posted coordinates is a road way that crosses the Red River of the North. This crossing is between Pembina, ND and St. Vincent, MN. On the Minnesota side, is a county highway, and on the North Dakota side is a county highway, they are different highway numbers, you need to figure out what both of them are.

The actual hide can be found with some simple math, once you figure out the highway numbers.

So what is the simple math you ask? Well, figure out the highways, and plug them into the formulas below and you should be all set.

N48 58. (MN Highway Number + 270)
W97 13. (North Dakota Highway Number + 897)

That is all there is to it. You are seeking a small camo container. Oh, and when you see the sign in the picture posted on the cache page you know you are getting warmer.
