Geocache Description:

Did you know there is a railway station at Galston?

Well there is! All be it slightly smaller than your regular railway station.

Run by the Hornsby Model Engineers Co-Operative Limited The Galston Valley Railway is a 5" gauge miniature railway hidden in the bush just of Mid Dural Road in Galston

The Railway is open to the public on the 2nd Sunday of every month from 10am till 4pm.

Trains run continually throughout the day with a mixture of steam and diesel locomotives.

Fare's - Entry cost is $5 per adult with all accompanying children free.
Rides are $2.50 per ride per person

the has the following facilities

* Picnic tables
* Sausage Sandwich Stall between 12 noon and 1:30pm
* wood fired barbecues
* Canteen
* Male & female toilets (no disabled facility)

SITE SAFETY RULES

* FULLY ENCLOSED FOOT WARE MUST BE WORN
* No Alcohol
* No pets
* No ball games, scooters, skateboards, bikes or other wheeled toys.

The cache itself is located outside the property boundary and is available 24/7. But this is best attempted with the family as it makes an excellent day out.
