Geocache Description:

No 1 of a circular trail round the boundary of the Leyland Vehicle Test Track (VTT). Flat terrain, passing through an industrial estate, a busy road, a secluded footpath round the Test Track boundary fence and a country park. Total distance less than 3 miles. Allow 2 hours approx. for the circuit.

The objective in laying the trail is to encourage use of the footpath around the North West side of the VTT boundary fence. It was blocked for several years, but after a long, hard fight it was added to the Definitive Map as a Public Right of Way in 2002. It was another two years before it could be used. But nobody uses it! Except you, Dear Reader, if you choose to take up this challenge. So, even if you don't enjoy it (but many of you will), you will be performing a public service by helping to keep the footpath open for future generations. The terrain ratings are for worst case - muddy in Winter, overgrown in Summer.
There is a good parking spot at the North end of Paradise Lane, not far from VTT1. There are also good parking spots adjacent to VTT2 and VTT4. Don't park on Longmeanygate - it's a busy road with fast traffic at times.

The hint item for this cache is about five strides into the copse from the pavement - the one behind the two trees nearest the pavement which are bending over like two fingers being crossed (using your imagination a bit!.
