Twin Lakes is a popular place for camping in the high country north of Mt.Baker. It is also the starting place for day hikes up to Winchester Lookout or Low Pass and High Pass.
To get there take highway 542- Mt. Baker highway to Twin Lakes Road #3065 (N 48 54.484 W121 41.852) The road from Tomyhoi Lake/Yellow Aster Trailhead (N48 56.603 W 121 39.759) to Twin Lakes is for high clearance 4X4 vehicles. If your vehicles is not, park at the Tomyhoi Lake/ Yellow Aster Trailhead and hike up the last 2.4 miles to Twin Lakes,as many people do.
I assume no responsibilities for you driving all the way to the Lakes as only you know the limitations of your vihicle and your driving abilities. Check at the Glacier Park Service Center to make sure the road is open and driveable. You will also need to get a parking pass at the Glacier Park Service Center.
Twin Lakes is open from around mid July to October.
