Geocache Description:

A multi-cache in Yorktown Triangle shopping plaza that requires you to triangulate to find the final (third) stage.

A multi cache in the Triangle Shopping center in Yorktown Heights. This is no P&G. You will need to triangulate to determine the location of the third and final stage. The three stages define the points of a triangle and the first two stages provide (absolute) bearings specifying the direction to the final stage from the given stage. Those bearings together with the locations of the first two stages will allow you to uniquely determine the location of the final stage that is located within or on the edge of the Triangle shopping center. The first stage will also provide the coordinates for the second stage.

All three stages are micros. The final is large enough to contain a pencil and log but is not large enough to hold coins, TBs or any other swag. Please place the stages back exactly as you found them. Most of the difficulty factor is due to finding the three stages of the cache with many muggles about. You will need to practice usual deceptive measures and think about how to approach the stages while being minimally conspicuous. The remainder of the difficulty factor -- well you'll see.

I have provided absolute bearings for the directions to the final cache -- which is not exactly the optimal information for triangulation. I did this so that it would be possible to find the final using alternative techniques. If you wish to triangulate properly you can convert the angles and you will need the distance between the first two stages which I found be 536 feet.

Please proceed carefully on stage 1 or your hands may end up the worse for wear. Our apologies in advance for that particular aspect of the cache -- we had locations picked and everything worked out and only realized the potential issue with stage 1 when actually putting the container in place.
