Bluesky - Cypress Provincial Park

This cache promotes active living and environmentally friendly geocaching. In order to place this cache, I embarked on the longest hike I have taken in several years.

This cache is hidden in a BC Park. BC Parks supports geocaching! Here is a link to the BC Parks geocaching policies, please familiarize yourself with them. Through cooperation with BC Parks, we can keep geocaching a fun and supported activity in BC's Provincial Parks

This cache is located in Cypress Provincial Park on a stretch of the Baden Powell trail. There are several access points.

For those who wish to take the Baden Powell trail from Horseshoe Bay, Get off the #250 Horseshoe Bay bus near the end of the line immediately after passing first Gleneagles Golf Course and then an elementary school on the left in quick succession. The bus will stop just before a stop sign on a short but steep uphill grade. Follow the green highway sign to the right across an overpass to Highway 99. The trail head is just a short distance east, back in the direction of Vancouver. The terrain difficulty will be much greater for those that choose this route.

The cache is also accessible from Cypress Bowl. Cycling up Cypress Bowl Road has become an increasingly popular pastime. From there, park your bike at the trailhead and hike the Baden Powell trail directly to the cache.

If you do this you emitted way less carbon into the atmosphere than if you had driven.
