Geocache Description:

This is an easy, three part multi-cache hidden in the Modoc Preserve.

In each of the three stages of the cache there is one line of each of eight different haikus. At the first cache you choose a numbered haiku line. Write it down. At the following caches you may continue writing down the line with the same number. Once you reach the end, you should have a completed haiku. Please email us your completed haiku. This is not a requirement but we would really appreciate it if you did.

Haikus are form of Japanese poetry, consisting of 17 syllables, in three lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables. Previously called hokku, haiku was given its current name by the Japanese writer Masaoka Shiki at the end of the 19th century.
