Geocache Description:

Firefighter Cache # 5: Patch Cache

This is the second in the series of firefighter caches in the Juneau area. Although this is the second, we refer to it as #5 because of its proximity to the Lynn Canal fire station the fifth station in Juneau. A favorite activity of traveling firefighters is trading department patches, and so we decided to create a “patch cache.” If you answer the siren song and seek this cache please take a patch and leave a patch as a trade. The sirens will lead you to a one quart water bottle and in it, is a pencil, log, and a Capital City Fire/Rescue patch as a reward for FTF. Whenever you hear sirens we ask that you remember that Juneau is protected by a combination of paid and volunteer firefighters, and it is the volunteers that do the bulk of the firefighting. So thank you neighbor who’s mild manner alter ego is a state accountant by day, but is transformed by the siren’s call to a firefighting action hero.

*The 1qt water bottle has been changed to a small pelican case*
