Geocache Description:

"Trinkets, Toys & Tunes" (Triple "T") is designed to be a fun find for all ages. Located on a hillside with limestone outcroppings, this cache is really fairly easy despite the overall terrain rating which is really just due to the last 40 feet. Best approached from below. Ages 5 - 75. From wherever you park your car, you should be able to find your way to the cache in 15 minutes or less! Lots of tradables. Take something(s), leave something(s)! CITO! No after dark seeking, please.

This cache is an old ammo box approximately 11"x7"x3". It is painted olive drab (army green) and is clearly marked with GEOCACHE stickers on both sides. Inside the box, of course you will find a small log book with a pencil & pen. Please write in the log! However, the fun begins when you start digging through the plastic ziploc bags which are stuffed full of tradable goodies for young and old alike. When originally placed, some of the "trinkets, toys & tunes" included: trading cards, racecars, a doll, CD's, stickers, and many other items! I'll always try to keep a CD from a PA band in there if I can! Even if you have nothing to trade, please feel free to take a CD if you like music. Always support local music! When I go geocaching with my kids (ages 6 & 8) we love to find caches WITH tradables! So, when we created this cache, we thought "now what would WE like to find in a cache someday?" (No, we didn't stuff a pony in there!). The cache is also relatively easy to find, assuming your GPS is decent. Although the terrain rating suggests a more difficult find, it is only rated as such because of the last 40 feet to the cache. Otherwise, it's a very easy stroll from wherever you park and the climb UP to the cache was done without too much trouble by my kids and me. I purposely wanted this cache to be a fun, easy find. You can approach from the "Old Ford" side (above) or the "Juniper" side (below), but I would strongly recommend the Juniper approach. If you approach from above, use caution. The Juniper approach is a flat walk on grass/dirt in a 30' wide area next to the Yellow Breeches Creek. Only in very extreme flooding conditions would this Juniper approach be potentially problematic. But the cache is well out of the 100 year flood plain and regardless of the creek condition, it can always be approached from above, making it accessible 100% of the time. Depending on when you go and your choice of approach, there may be little muggles running about, but it's not likely you'll see any muggles around the cache. However, as always, try to be stealthy so as not to draw any unnecessary attention to the cache location. ***Please respect nearby Park's hours and don't attempt this cache after dark.*** I placed this cache, my first hide, near this neighborhood park because I grew up on the same street and spent many happy hours playing there with a ton of friends from the 'hood. Many of us are still very close and stay in touch often. I hope many of my fond memories of this area carry through as good vibes in this cache. I would love to hear what you think of this cache, it's location, and its contents. Even better, if you're so inclined, posted photos of you and your fellow GC'ers at or near the cache would be wonderful! Have a blast with the Triple "T"!
