Geocache Description:

I love a good Fair. The Windsor Fair Executive Committee is to thank for this one! They gave permission and hope you all have fun with this one year round! Certain days of the year require fairground access fees. Check their website!

This is a year round cache series (except for getting snowbound in winter) placed with the permission of the Windsor Fairgrounds Executive Director. If you see him anywhere, be sure to thank him!

The real fun of this one is, right now there are 7000 muggles!!!

Windsor is a town in Kennebec County, settled in 1790 and incorporated on March 3, 1809 as the town of Malta from New Waterford Plantation.

The name was changed to Gerry in 1821, in honor of Elbridge Gerry, Governor of Massachusetts (1810-1812) and Vice President of the United States (1813-1814), and to Windsor the following year.

Windsor's village center clusters around the town office, the fire station, the Post Office, and Hussey's General Store at the intersection of Maine Routes 32 and 105.

The Windsor Fair attracts crowds each fall to this once agricultural, but increasingly residential, community east of Augusta.

The Windsor Fair is a large progressive fair with extensive agricultural, crafts and art exhibits. Large midway, animal pulling events, harness racing and mechanical pulls.

The first 4 caches are micros..35mm canisters.. log and missing coordinates only. Bring your own pen!! Missing numbers are on the top page of the log.

Initial GPS coordinates point you a suggested parking area.

From there you need to proceed to: N44 17.257 .W069 35.603

Once there you will find the 1st small cache. Inside you will find the missing number for cache # 2

Small cache # 2 is located at N44 17.202 .W069 35.???

Again, inside cache # 2 you will find the # needed for cache # 3

Small cache # 3 is located at N44 17.264 .W069 35.???

Inside cache # 3 is the missing # for cache # 4

Small cache 4 is located at N44 17.056 .W069 35.???

Inside cache # 4 is the number for cache # 5

Finally you can get the motherlode. It is regular cache # 5 and it is located at N44 17.368 .W069 35.???

Have fun! See parts of the fairgrounds you never knew were there!

This is a long walk...I clocked 1.5 miles!

Please hide the caches back where you find them, report any problems, and have a good time!
