The cache is located just
off the newly opened extension of the Sakonnet Greenway Trail.
Please park at the trail head at coords given. Enjoy a nice flat
walk on this expanding land conserved for open space on Aquidneck
Island.
With this recent expansion, you can now walk all the way around
the Newport National Golf Course, then head North and walk to Glen
Farm, with only two small road crossings. Or from a cacher's
perspective, you can now walk from "A Hole Lotta Greens" to
"Sakonnet Greenway Trail 1". And if you do, you can grab all the
Greenway Trail caches!
If you are only after this cache, please park at P1. To do the
whole trail, you can also park at P2.
No short cuts, please. The trail does abut private properties,
and some portions are actually easements on private property, so
please follow the trail and the posted rules. Also please note
there are electric fences near the trail, so watch the little
ones.
This is a straight forward cache in a typical hide fashion. It
is a small snap lid container. Please return the container the way
you found it. From P1 this is a 2 mile round trip walk.
