We decided to make up an entire series of puzzle caches, hoping it would prove more challenging for one cacher to achieve all FTF's.
All caches are on footpaths arround the Bentley area. Livestock and electric fences may be encountered, usual rules apply.
The location given is not that of the cache, but within a mile of GZ.
Subjects are not stated - but can hopefully be worked out.
British woodlands contain many edible wild berries such as:
. Wild strawberry – found on hillsides
. Wild cherry – found near or around wooded areas
. Blackberry – found in most wooded areas and is the most common
. Wild raspberry – found on waste land and around woodlands
. Dewberry – found near open ground and railways
. Wild gooseberry – found in hedgerows and woodland areas
. Blackcurrant – found in hedgerows
. Wild red currant – found in hedgerows
. Wild white currant – found in hedgerows
. Red berry – found on a red berry tree in wooded areas
Before you tuck into any wild goodies, make sure you know whether they are poisonous or not, as if they are, it could end badly...
Jam refers to fruits or vegetables that have been prepared and canned for long term storage.
The fruit is heated with water and sugar to activate the pectin in the fruit. The mixture is then put into containers.
The cache is a 1L snap-lock box located at the edge of a wood featuring many fruit trees and bushes.
It is located at:
N 375 300 275 450 . 300 275 475
W 00 300 0 275 . 0 450 375
