Geocache Description:

I searched a long time to find this site and felt I just had to share it with you!!

Jackfish long forgotten cemetery has been found!! Limited literature was found on this part of Jackfish history, however what I did find was that mostly babies were buried here. There seemed to be many baby deaths under these rugged conditions. Adults who passed away in Jackfish were transported by rail to White River for burial.

Take the Jackfish road (48.47.769 N 086 55.689 W) down to the tracks, keep to your left and you will find the gravel pit that belongs to Northpath. Follow the road along side the tracks all the way through the gravel pit. When the road starts to curve away from the tracks, you've gone far enough, park here. Walk the path beside the tracks for about 100 yards, you will see a path marked by yellow flagging tape on the south side of the tracks, follow that trail all the way to the cemetery and enjoy the real treasure of this cache.
