This cache is the gatekeeper cache for the GOTCHA
Challenge series.
I've read quite a few articles in the newspaper recently about
individuals who, blindly following their GPSr, found themselves
axle deep in mud in the middle of a corn field, floating down a
river in their 4x4, lost in the desert, or stuck under a low
bridge.
Geocachers of course know that while GPSr technology is amazing,
a little bit of wisdom and common sense must also be employed on
the part of the operator in order to remain safe and not appear to
be a total idiot.
This cache is placed with that knowledge in mind. This is an
easy cache provided you completely read and understand this writeup
and use a little common sense before you go blindly trudging off in
the direction of that little arrow.
There is no need to trespass, no need to climb any fences, and
definitely no need to bushwhack. You've been warned. Fail to heed
these words of wisdom at your own peril and public
embarrassment.
B.Y.O.P. Please make sure you place the container back and out
of sight so that others may enjoy the cache as well.
Note: The numbers in this cache were updated on June
1st, 2010 as a result of needing to slightly move the final
when replacing the cache during a recent maintenance visit. Make
sure you have the matching requirements page for the final and
numbers from this cache (comparing the dates) before attempting to
complete the challenge.
