Choo Choo: Merced Terminal Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Lightgazer: It has disappeared, and given the exposed location of this cache, I think I will archive it. I am amazed that it survived as well as it did, even through Christmas tree lots on the sight!

Geocache Description:

Easy find that you could even ride your wheel chair to. You will, however, be quite exposed to muggles.

The Yosemite Valley Railroad western terminal was at the location of this cache. It operated from 1906 to 1946 between here and El Portal where riders could take coaches into Yosemite Park. In 1906, R Street was the very edge of town. See the Picture Gallery for more views. The roundhouse was north of the cache two blocks, where Franklin School school now is.
