Saddle can be approached from different directions:
EAST approach is drive-able, but requires a high clearance vehicle. The final uphill stretch of road requires 4-wheel drive, but is also hike-able.
WEST approach is a scenic 1/2 - 3/4 mile cross-country hike -- no trail. Be aware of cactus.
Short, steep, rough & rocky uphill hike to cache. Wear good hiking shoes. BE PREPARED FOR WIND!
