Butch Cassidy
Born Robert Leroy Parker on April 13, 1866, he was reported to have died in Bolivia on November 7, 1908.
Butch was a famous bank and train robber that formed The Hole In The Wall Gang and the The Wild Bunch Gang. He lived in Utah, Colorado, Montana, Wyoming and New York.
Butch and the Sundance Kid performed the longest successful string of train and bank robberies in American history.
Butch was supposedly killed in Bolivia but his sister, Lula Parker Bengtson, said he returned to the US and was supported in this claim by numerous credible witnesses. His body, and that of The Sundance Kid’s, were never found and there is no concrete evidence that he died in Bolivia. There are numerous letters supposedly written by him after 1908.
