While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If the owner wants it reopened, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to unarchive the cache listing if it still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

Geocache Description:

Storrinden er det høyeste punktet i området Sandsli og Kokstad. Det er et mye brukt turområde med gode grusveier og stier.

Fra toppen har du god utsikt over Flesland Flyplass og kan følge med på fly som lander og letter. Det har vært mye militær aktivitet i området og her er mange gamle kanonstillinger. Under 2. verdenskrig hadde tyskerne kontroll over innseilingen til Bergen herfra.

Storrinden is the highest point in the Sandsli and Kokstad area. It’s a nice hiking area with good gravelled roads and tracks. From the top you have a good view over Flesland Airport and you can watch the planes take off and land. It has been many military activities in this area and here you can find many old gun sites. During World War II, the Germans had control over the seaward approach to Bergen from Storrinden.
