Giants Traditional Cache
Baznhev: We are archiving this cache due to the amount of teenagers now using this site as a drinking den, it is a shame that what used to be such a beautiful site is now being spoilt.
After checking the site thoroughly, we can find no evidence of our cache container, and there does not seem to be a suitable location to use where a new container won't be compromised.[:(]

Located near "The giants grave" at the perimeter of the village of Cherry Hinton, there is plenty of car parking locally, Wellington boots may be needed if looking for this in wet weather or in the winter.
The Giant's Grave is a pond and stream just behind and below the Cherry Hinton village sign.
The village sign is opposite the Robin Hood and Little John pub, and the Giants Grave pond is just visible through the trees. The sign is surrounded by a lovely display of daffodils, in the spring.
According to tradition, the giant Magog (associated with the Gog Magog hills a few miles south) is buried on the island in the pool here.
The spring feeding this pool provided the water supply for Cherry Hinton, and later for much of Cambridge.
Although the water here is quite shallow, children should be supervised at all times.
The cache is in a lid lock container that has been painted green and is surrounded with Hedera.
