Geocache Description:



Located along the Hillsborough River near Lettuce Lake Park, the cache is a Rubbermaid Container with room for a log book and small trade items. BYOP.

This is a lovely portion of the river with mucho Florida wildlife to see as you make your way from Trout Creek to Lettuce Lake (if this is the approach you choose to take...you can also approach via the boat launch at Rotary Park on Fowler Avenue.) If you take the Trout Creek approach, you will have to paddle through the spillway and under I-75, but don 't let this dissuade you. Once you get beyond the Interstate and paddle downstream, it really is a beautiful and peaceful section of the river.

As far as the cache itself, when we hid it, we were able to paddle right up to GZ, only getting out of the boat to hide the cache. However, once the rainy season ends, there's a good chance you will have to get out of the boat and walk a short distance to your destination.
