If you are feeling abitious and would like to go for a longer hike, head the opposite direction on the "berm" to see the "Open Cut". (No caches allowed, Refuge Property. about an extra mile round trip.) This feature was created in the Summer of '08 to help improve water circulation back here. If you are wondering where all the material went to from this, you've been walking on it to get here! Also notice the matting to hold it in place.
