Go Jump in the Lake! Traditional Cache

THIS IS A BOAT-IN ONLY CACHE located at Flaming Gorge Reservoir and is not accessible by land.
This place is one of our children's favorite places on the lake and by name rather lucky! This cache will require swimming so please remember your life jacket! The coordinates will get you to the spot, but let the "force" take over from there as the steep canyon walls will make an electronic reading difficult. The approach is from the left and is not too mossy, though watch your step and head. The cache is a short distance from the approach and let's just say, Santa didn't leave what is under the Christmas Tree! The cache is in a small plastic container with a log book and two "locals". Don't chicken out at this point, take the leap! This is definitely a Kodak moment, so have your Captain or First Mate take a picture and post it in the gallery.
This is our first cache! Since our family (and friends!) love boating here, we wanted to share one of our favorite things to do. We usually come up to camp and spend days at a time fishing, skiing, tubing, hiking, swimming, and enjoying the beautiful views of the area. There aren't many caches on this side of the reservoir, so we hope you come by and Go Jump in the Lake!
****NOTE - 2012 Reservoir Water Level is lower than when we placed this cache. We checked the cache on 08/04/12 and the water line is down at least 6 feet. Got one girl up from the water the 'hard way', the rest relied on a large boat's pulpit. We have decided to not disable the cache but change the difficulty instead. Here's to more water next year and thanks to our fellow geocachers for the "heads up"! Happy caching!****
