Geocache Description:

WWFM-VI Riverhead, LI, NY

This event will be one small part of the WWFM-VI (World-Wide Flash Mob event – see below). This event and all others around the globe in their respective time zone will begin precisely at 1 pm EST on Saturday, November 14, 2009.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1) At exactly 1:00 PM pull out a large folding paper map and alternate between glancing at the map and looking around as you slowly move to the coordinates listed above (Near Old Salty as I like to call him now - If you have another name for him post it here). Though not required, it is strongly encouraged to ask other park-goers, "Excuse me, do you know where World Wide Flash Mob VI is?" (This works well as a question for both muggles and other individuals holding paper maps.)

2) There is plenty of parking near the above coordinates.

3) The 'After Event' meeting location will be at the other end of the park. This is for those who want to sit around and talk shop or as a gathering location for those heading out as a group to do some local caching. (N 40-54.961 / W072.39.658)

4) To keep up with any news or changes – make sure to set the page for "notifications" so you’ll be notified via email. Check this cache page the morning of November 14th to confirm all information.

This Flash Mob Geocache event will last exactly 15 minutes – not a second longer. You MUST be present and each individual sign a log sheet DURING this time to claim this event.

For those that don’t know - A Flash Mob is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, do something unusual for a brief period of time, and then quickly disperse.

ITINERARY:
12:45 PM - 12:59 PM - Participants wait patiently and/or stroll around the area. STAY AWAY from ground zero until the signal is given. Best as you can, act like a muggle, pretend not to know each other or give any indication that something is about to happen. At 12:59 PM slowly begin to move towards ground zero.

1:00 PM – Music will play – everyone will converge right at ground zero. Log slips will be handed out - Bring your own pen or pencil. Sign individual log slip and drop it in the collection box. Next - turn to someone close by and “swag swap” or trade “trackables” if you so chose.

1:08 PM – Group picture takes place. Listen carefully and follow all directions given by photographer quickly as to where to line up.

1:12 PM - The event meal will be held (Hershey’s Kisses), and mingling can take place. The FTF name drawing will be held.

1:14 PM - One minute warning is called "It is now 1:14!" Prepare to leave. Organizers seal up log container for transport.

1:15 PM EXACTLY – Everyone leave immediately! Meet elsewhere if desired.

This event will be held rain or shine – please come prepared for the elements.

We would love to have a general idea of how many to expect – so please write a note here and let us know if you and others will be attending the event.
