La cache se situe à 200 m du waypoint
#1 où une voiture peut être garée. Elle se trouve au centre du
cratère d'un ancien volcan datant du Permien à la fin de l'ére
paléozoïque (il y a 290-245 millions d'années). De là la vue
embrasse à 360° les différents aspects de ce vieux massif
volcanique de 320 km², dont 130 km² sont classés et protégés.
Après avoir bien refermé le container, ayez la gentillesse de le
replacer au même endroit. Vous pourrez découvrir d'autres aspects
magnifiques du Massif en visitant les nombreuses caches des
alentours.
The
cache is situated at 200 meters from waypoint#1, where a car can be
parked. The container is located at the center of an ancient
volcano's crater. The Esterel Massif soil and rocks are of volcanic
origin, which goes back around 280 millions years before present
(at the last period of the Paleozoic Era: the Permian). From the
cache, a 360-degree sight allows to discover the different
characteristics of the volcano massif, which extends over 320 km²,
of which 130 km²are officially protected in the Forêt Domaniale de
l'Esterel.
Be kind to correctly close the lid, and take care to put back the
cache at the same place. Around this place, there are many caches,
which permit the discovery of all the beauties of the Esterel
Massif.
