Geocache Description:

An easy multi in Moncks Bay

To many people from Christchurch, Moncks Bay is the bay they drive through on the way to Sumner or Taylors Mistake. However, it is steeped in history and this multi makes use of some of that history.
The Bay itself is named after John Stanley Monck, a farmer in the area in the late 19th Century. He was also a Borough Councillor, member of the Roads Board and the first President of the Christchurch Sailing Club.
The coordinates take you to the first of two Waypoints at which you answer historical and ornithological questions that then allow you to obtain the coordinates for the Final cache location. When you get to the final you will be rewarded with a lovely view over the area you have just been researching in.

The coordinates of the final are then:
S 43 34.RST, E 172 44.UVW, where:

R = F
S = C-B
T = D-E
U = A+C
V = B
W = D

PS, This is a BYOP (Bring Your Own Pen-cil) cache
