You do not need to go more than about ten feet from the trail to find this cache.
I am always fascinated by place names, so how could I resist "Old Bald Hill Road"?
The parking area, open to the public, is only about 100 feet from the north end of Old Bald Hill Road. Where we parked our car, my GPS said 42 43.275 077 35.350.
You will need to walk up this public-welcome trail for a bit, but it is an easy walk. Unfortunately a short but narrow footbridge makes it not accessible for wheelchairs. No bikes, vehicles, horses or dogs allowed, and please visit during daylight hours only.
In early summer the meadow is a spectacular mass of buttercups. In the fall, goldenrod maintains the color scheme.
I would appreciate input on the difficulty rating. There is a scraggly wild rose bush to look out for fairly near the cache, but it should be easy to avoid.
