Geocache Description:

can drive to a short distance from cache, cars can make it in with care. Drive in from the north from the M-26 side. If you try to come in from the SE from town, the trail can be difficult to find, and may need serious 4X4

Found out this is the Incline Quarry. There was a small town near here named Incline. It was thought that this quarry was used to supply building materials to the C&H buildings in Calumet. Now dammed, it provides water to the fire hydrants in Lake Linden. When I set this cache, the quarry had been drained to repair the pipes at the outlet. Looking at the rocks near the cache, I could see the drill marks used to break off rocks in a quarry. Now flooded, the evidence of the quarry is harder to find. With the quarry drained, I can say that the quarry appears to be 20-25' deep.
