Geocache Description:

This eight stage multi cache is part of the 100 years of Scouting Celebration.

This cache has been placed in cooperation with the Cleveland Metroparks as part of the 1910 to 2010 Boy Scouts of America's 100 years of Scouting Celebration.
Be sure to download a copy of the trail map before heading off on your hunt.

The Greater Cleveland Council Boy Scouts of America (est. 1912) owned and operated it's very first Boy Scout Camp in this area from 1913 to 1962. The 67 acre Camp was first known simply as "The Reservation" and then renamed "Camp Ye'he'ma" (YAH - HEE- MUH) and finally renamed "The South Chagrin Scout Reservation". The actual boundries of the camp were Cannon Road, Arbor lane, Hawthrone Parkway and the Chagrin River. The camp served as a week long summer camp to scouts at a cost of $7.00 for the first week and $5.00 for a second week. Weekend Camping took place all year around. The property was eventually turned over to the Cleveland Metroparks as the Greater Cleveland Council who at the time was operating three other Ohio camps and one High Adventure Base in Canada. As you hike along keep your eyes peeled for the ruins of cabins, and other structures that originally belonged to the camp. You can also use the additional waypoints on this cache page to locate the ruins of these structures.

Your hike will begin along the Chagrin River, The camp border is at the top of the ridge This lower part of the ravine was not apart of the camp but its scenic trail past Squaw Rock is a place that can't be missed when hiking in this area.

At each stage you are in search of a 1 inch brass tag, these tags display change coords that will lead you to the next stage. All eight stages are winter friendly and were not ment to be hard to find. The challenge of this cache is the hike it is what Scouts call a day hike. Hiking with a patrol of 12 year olds and this one will take you all day. Cachers should expect to spend no more than three hours completing this cache hunt,

This cache is part of a three cache series that celebrates the 100 Years of Boy Scouting in the Cleveland Area. This cache contains a clue to 1910 to 2010 Boy Scout Geocache Challenge Using the clue found in the cache along with the clue inside of Exploring Cub Scout Day Camp at Mastick Woods is all you will need.
