Geocache Description:

Welcome to Scott County, VA! The Scott County Tourism Committee is placing caches throughout the county to highlight certain points of interest and historical sites. We hope that you will enjoy these caches. For this hunt you'll be looking for a small plastic container.

Following their retirement from their respective careers and a vacation trip of a lifetime, Roy and Phyllis Baker returned to their roots and began a new vocation.

Handcrafted by Roy with the assistance of a pair of laborers, Appalachian Mountain Cabins opened two cabins in 2001 with more cabins to be opened in the future. The couple knew the great need that Scott County had for overnight accomodations for folks visiting the area. They've succeded in helping our county by the labor of love they've put into their cabins. Not only are these cabins beautiful, but they're located just outside of Natural Tunnel State Park the "Eighth Wonder of the World".

The cache is located on the same side of the road as the cabins. Coordinates should get you within 15 feet. You don't have to go down to the cabins to find the cache, but you may want to drive down and check out the cabins. Enjoy the hunt and Happy Caching!
