Personnel incl:
JIM ALBRECHT A

45:
1 Good Times Are Over/Descent (Columbia 44188) 1967

Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, this outfit moved to Chicago and played a paisley-styled garage rock with lots of fuzz guitar. The above 45 is thought to be their sole stab for stardom and on the flip, Descent, their psychedelic backing comes with a raving vocal and catchy organ.

Jim Albrecht was at Pike High School at the time their 45 became a big hit in the Midwest, and the band got to perform the song on a local TV show. Whilst Jim's single was playing all over the local airwaves and around the country, the principal at Pike High was at the time cracking down on long hairdos, even offering free haircuts in the schools front office for those students with 'Beatle'-like mops. Jim, however, was granted an exception and allowed to retain his long-hair!

Compilation appearances include: Descent on Sixties Archive Vol. 8 (CD), Acid Trip From The Psychedelic Sixties (LP), Chosen Few Vol's 1 & 2 (CD) and The Chosen Few, Vol. 2 (LP).
