Geocache Description:

This cache is located in a neighborhood park popular with dog walkers. There is only one official park entrance off Angelus Lane. The hike to the cache is 800 meters and gains 85 meters in elevation on a sometimes loose gravel trail. The container is a medium Loc and Loc container painted green.

Merrill Park (the name I believe comes from an early logging company in this area Merrill and Ring) is a great local natural park owned by the District of Squamish with a great view point at the top that you can see Howe Sound, Quest University and the Chief. The only proper access is off Angelus Lane which is really a Cul-de-sac accessed off Friedel Crescent. Park beside the small sign at the end of the Cul-de-sac. The trail starts on your right, beside the chain link fence. Follow the Summit trail. Good foot wear is recommended as the trail can be steep and loose in places. This is a great place to bring dogs and kids to burn off some energy but use caution near the top as there is a cliff. The cache isn’t difficult to find but like any good Scout you should be prepared and bring a compass to find the next directions in the hole at 310 degrees magnetic.
Inside the cache to start:
Log book, pencil. Hacky sac, tiger stamp, brass bell, red pop up, bubbles, green whistle, bag of stickers, peek-a-pooh, Scouter Mike’s Geocoin (to be only taken by a Scout) and bonus for FTF

Take some time to sit and disappear into the Merrill Triangle
