Geocache Description:

If you want to do Bettisfield Bonus cache, please take a note of the coordinates from the log book, it is not far.

This cache is set on the new public coastal footpath.

The new stretch of path is nearing completion and the sign is an added bonus according to senior coastal ranger Mike Taylor.
Mr Taylor believes the sign, located near the Old Bettisfield Colliery, provides lots of useful information and advice for people using the path.
The major section of the Bagillt foreshore has been leased by Flintshire County Council for the next 100 years following negotiations with owners Veolia Environmental Services.
The Bettisfield site includes protected saltmarsh, woodland footpaths and views of the Dee estuary.
