This cache starts with a pleasant walk through a well developed
walkway, and finishes with your best spider monkey impersonation.
(Accuracy of GZ coordinates +/- 4m).
Whitby has a large number of well developed walkways; this is in
the middle of one of them. The majority of this path is surrounded
by trees and foliage, you quickly forget that you are in the middle
of suburbia.
The path to the coordinates can be entered from three locations,
two of which are in Whitby and the third being in Paremata. Once
you reach the specified coordinates, it is at this point you need
to employ those spider monkey skills of yours to find the prize you
seek.
The cache is a 400ml sistema container and contains a logbook,
pencil and the usual trinkets. It is sitting in a camo bag and
should be very visible if you are in the right position. You may
find that GZ is not the ideal location to sign the log or peruse
the cache, so use some due diligence as to where and how you wish
to do this. You may find it easier to retrace your steps back to
the starting coords to sign, and make a return trip to put the
cache back in place.
Do NOT attempt this cache at night, or when it is windy, or
after rain, as the final path to the cache is not easy in
these conditions.
