[Swedish] Om man följer vägen mot universitetet från
cachens placering så är det svårt att missa märkesbacken. Varje år
i augusti målar studentföreningar och sektioner sina märken i
backen. Det är en gammal tradition som liksom många andra
studenttraditioner uppkommit sporadiskt men utvecklats till något
organiserat. Idag är backens märken indelade med kårernas märken
längst upp, följt av sektioner och längst ned i backen hittar man
studentföreningarna.

[English] If you follow the road to the university from
the cache location you cannot miss "märkesbacken" (the hill of
signs). Each year in August, the student associations paint their
signs in the slope. This is an old tradition and just like many
other student traditions it occurred sporadically, but evolved into
something organized. Today the signs is divided with the student
union signs at the top, followed by program unions, and at the
bottom of the hill you find the student associations.
