Geocache Description:

Stones & Stumps:  The route is about 12.5m/20km long with a good selection of caches along the way.  See Stones & Stumps No.1 for info about the route.

After the pheasants, continue out of the wood.  Straight ahead is a ford across the River Leith but off to the left is a handy footbridge.  Cache is another FMH container!  If the small stream is in flood it's best to keep clear and avoid any risk of falling in. Also home of protected crayfish, although I should think they keep away from the bridge and ford.

Over the bridge, turn right down to the road, turn left and a short way along is the nursery and tea shop - very nice to have a break.  Unfortunately they don't allow dogs into the nursery.
