Once in Natures Valley park at the Shop,head down to the beach, take a right and follow the clearly marked trail to Salt River. You should take a towel with you as you need to cross the river which is only ankle deep at low tide, but about waist deep for an adult at high tide. As this is a nature reserve feel free to leave your clothes on the shore and take a skinny dip to the other side, its a part of the experience and highly recommended.
Bandit was our beloved Yorkshire Terrier who sadly left this world too soon, but the best days of his life were spent at Salt River, chasing sticks, fetching balls and swimming in the beautiful warm emerald green waters that are Salt River. This cache is in memory of him and is a 'Family Pet Cache'. If you could, please leave any memento or souvenir that is related to your pet such as an ID tag, a photo or an old toy.
