Geocache Description:

This is the Fourth of a Series of Marroc's Memories that will be place in Antigonish

Back in the winters of my teenage years this was a place was used almost every possible moment while the ice was solid and days were nice.

Back in the day this was once the location of Saw Mill that founded back in 1898 and all the remains to this day was a perfect stretch of water with high banks that made an ideal location for a hockey rink.
After countless months of playing road hockey; the anticipation of the ice being solid meant our location change to this pond. Many of us would show up and clear the ice surface and spend our after school hours and our entire weekend from morning till night playing hockey. There were even moments when generators and lights were stretched across the banks to play into the nights.
Alot of time was spent here as we sported jerseys of our favorite teams and pretending to be our favorite players as we dashed up and down the rink.

As you come to this cache there is optimal parking location near the railway tracks and venture across to take a gander of a location where lots of games were played, goals were scored andmemories still remain
