Sakitama Kofun(Sakitama Ancient Burial Mounds Park) is a park maintained nine large tombs. The promenade has been developed in the park. You can climb some tombs. You can get a fine view from the top of the tomb. The prefecture name "Saitama" has its origin in the name of this land.
There is free parking for visitors. And there are bus services form following stations to the park.
· Take an Asahi bus for Gyodasyako via Zama from JR Fukiage Station, get off at Sangyodoro bus stop and a 15 minute walk.
· Take a City bus from JR Gyoda Station or Chichibu Line Gyoda city Station, get off at Sakitama Kofun Park bus stop and a 2 minute walk.
· Take a shuttle bus from JR Kita-kounosu station.(This bus service only uses during the spring vacation, summer vacation, weekends and national holidays)
Artifacts from tombs can be seen in the Museum of The Sakitama Ancient Burial Mounds.

さきたま古墳公園は、9基の大型古墳群を公園として整備したものです。公園内には、散策路が整備されています。いくつかの古墳は、登ることが出来ます。古墳の頂上からは、良い眺めです。埼玉県の県名「埼玉」は、この土地名に由来しています。車の方は、無料駐車場を使用してください。公共交通を利用の方は、以下の各駅からバスが出ていますので、それを利用してください。
・ ＪＲ吹上駅から朝日バス佐間経由行田車庫行「産業道路」下車徒歩15分
・ ＪＲ行田駅又は秩父鉄道行田市駅から市内循環バス「さきたま古墳公園前」下車徒歩2分
・ ＪＲ北鴻巣駅からシャトルバス(土日祝および学校の春休み・夏休み期間のみ運行）で１１分
また、古墳からの出土品は、さきたま史跡の博物館で見ることができます。
入館料は200円。
開館時間は
7月〜8月: 9:00〜17:00(入館は16:30まで)
それ以外: 9:00〜16:30(入館は16:00まで)
月曜日(ただし月曜日が祝祭日の場合と4月29日〜5月5日は開館)と12月29日〜1月3日までは、休館です。
週末はマグルが大勢、います。マグルに気をつけて、キャッシュを探してください。
キャッシュにはペンが入っていません。
