Geocache Description:

Can you find a cache in Illinois on every day of the year?

Several Cache-a-Day challenge caches exist, so I thought it would be nice to have one in Illinois as well. For this challenge, you must have found a cache in Illinois on each of the 365 calendar days, e.g., January 1, January 2, ..., December 30, December 31. The finds do not have to be in the same year nor do they have to be 365 consecutive finds. (Note that February 29th is not included since there have only been 2 leap days since caching began and the next one isn't until 2012. As of March 2012, February 29th will also be required for experienced cachers, so find this challenge now, and avoid the Leap Day rush!)

The cache container is located at the posted coordinates. If you would like to stop by and sign the logbook, trade some swag and/or trackables, you are welcome to do so. However, to log a find, you must complete two requirements:

Requirement #1

Successfully log a find on an Illinois cache on each of the 365 (non-leap year) calendar days. Only one find is allowed per cache, even if the cache owner permits multiple finds, so you are required to find 365 different Illinois caches to complete this challenge. Caches must be located in Illinois, but can be of any type, from legacy Locationless Caches to current Traditionals and Event Caches. Note that you may NOT use caches you own (even if you found them some time ago and have since adopted them). The current cache status, whether archived or active, does not matter for this challenge.

Requirement #2

To document your successful completion of the challenge, you may either create a public bookmark list with your 365 finds (plus this challenge cache, please), or email a .GPX file containing the 365 finds to me. If there is an issue with your qualifications, my decision is final. No quibbling.

This cache itself should be a fairly easy find... you have already done enough work to get here. The cache is a moderately-sized food storage container, with space for a logbook, plus travel bugs and geocoins.

You are welcome to find this cache in advance of qualifying for the challenge. However, no "found" log will be accepted without the additional cache-finding requirement. Please use the "note" feature if you feel a need to brag about finding this container without meeting the requirements to log a find.

Congratulations to geogil for FTF on this difficult challenge.

The findstatgen3 macro for GSAK is capable of generating a table of dates on which you have found caches. This may help some in determining whether they are qualified for this challenge cache.

This challenge is modeled after AZTech's challenge in Arizona, which I discovered looking for examples of a somewhat different sort of challenge. His challenge was harder... and we needed one like it here in Illinois, too.
