Geocache Description:

This, our first cache, is in loving memory of a beloved grand and great-grandmother who was an inspiration to us all. She loved to walk along the cliff path and take in the beautiful view of Walker Bay, home to generations of Southern-right whales many months of the year.

Park at Fick's tidal pool, S 34 25.327 E 019 14.148. Take a stroll along the cliff path and enjoy the stunning vistas of Walker Bay. The above co-ordinates will lead you to a memorial plaque on the right of the path commemorating Daphne. The picture of the plaque has her surname erased. The surname is eight letters, PQRSTUVW. Using the code A=1, B=2, C=3 etc, assign numbers to each of the letters, P to W to decipher the co-ordinates of the cache hidden close by. The cache is hidden at S 34. (5 x U). 4(P + P) (P + U) E 019 (S + R). (T - V) (V - U) . N.B. to find the cache you will leave the cliff path almost immediately. Be assured, you do not have to bundu-bash through any of the natural vegetation to get to the cache!

The cache is in a small Tupperware container in a plastic shopping bag for protection. The original contents of cache: note book and pencil; plastic fish, bouncy ball, child's ring, compass and a die.
