SWE: Här vid Gömmarån låg Fullersta kvarn. Man kan fortfarande se rester av kvarndammens murar. Strax nedanför ligger stugor som tillhörde kvarntorpet. Platsen är fridfull och vacker. Lite synd bara att man har dragit kraftledningen rakt över området.
Cachens namn anspelar på romansviten om utvandrarna Karl-Oskar och Kristina av Vilhelm Moberg (1898-1973). Ett 20-tal meter från cachen (vid N 59° 15.300 E 017° 56.747 – Obs! Cachen ligger alltså inte där) finns en inskription direkt på berget:

Den som skrev detta är med största säkerhet kvarndrängen Johan August Andersson, som emigrerade till Nordamerika 1872. Under 1800-talet och det tidiga 1900-talet lämnade uppemot 1,3 miljoner svenskar landet för att emigrera främst till USA. Med tanke på att Sverige runt förra sekelskiftet endast hade runt 5 miljoner invånare är det en smått fantastisk siffra.

ENG: Here at the small river Gömmarån there was once a mill, Fullersta kvarn. Some of the mill-pond’s walls can still be seen. Below this area are some houses that belonged to the mill. This is a tranquil and beautiful place. It is a pity, though, that the power lines cross the area.
The name of this cache relates to the novels about the emigrants Karl-Oskar and Kristina by the Swedish author Vilhelm Moberg (1898-1973). About 20 meters from the cache (at N 59° 15.300 E 017° 56.747 – N.B. The cache is not at these coordinates), there is an inscription directly on the ground:

The one who wrote this was most probably the worker at the mill Johan August Andersson, who emigrated to North America in 1872. During the 19th and early 20th century about 1.3 million Swedes left their country primarily for the USA. Considering the fact that Sweden only had about 5 million inhabitants at the time, this figure is rather remarkable.
