There are two boat ramps near the picnic area and you are welcome to bring your canoe or kayak.
Biking is also welcome. The picnic area has several electrical outlets, restroom facilities, grills and plenty of picnic tables.

The Patuxent River Park consists of more than 6,000 acres of woodlands, marshes, and swamp along the Patuxent River in Prince George’s County. The park offers a wide range of outdoor recreational opportunities including miles of hiking trails, camping, bicycling, horseback riding, fishing, hunting, boating, kayaking, canoeing, archaeology and nature study. In addition, there is the Patuxent Rural Life Museums, a collection of late 19th century and early 20th century buildings and historic structures dedicated to preserving the rural heritage of southern Prince George's County.
We hope you all will join us!
