Campin' at the landslide Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

TheVogonPoet: Hi,

This cache has been in need of maintenance for an extended period of time. Due to the lack of response toward the needed maintenance since my last contact, I am archiving the cache to keep it from showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Thanks!

Geocache Description:

Located in a large crack in the side of the Qu'Appelle Valley.

This cache is located about 350m from the road and located about 6 feet above the river bed on a shelf. You're looking for a fire ring which marks the campsite we've visited a few times over the years.

Once you've found camp, it might take awhile to find the cache depending on your gps accuracy. I was able to obtain ~2M with an ultrasensitive bluetooth device.

The terrain is rough and subject to constant change hence the 4 difficulty but it's always worth the trip. In the early spring to early summer is can be VERY muddy on the road and even more so in the ravine. Be prepared.

The cache itself is a tupperware lockbox style wrapped in camo duct tape.
