Geocache Description:

This Shrine (Syozoku Inari Shrine) is about 400 m from JR Oji Station.

Cache is hidden near the explanation board.
Cache size is micro with a magnet.

This shrine was enshrined by Fox god for Business,clothes,fireproofing.

Here is legend.
On the night of the New Year's Eve,messengers of fox gods gather in "Oji Inari Jinja".
Before gathering,they prepared clothes under the hackberry in this place.
So, this tree was named "Syozoku enoki(Hackberry of Clothes)".
Hiroshige Utagawa drew this legends in Ukiyoe"100views of edo".

装束稲荷神社は、王子駅から４００ｍぐらいの距離にあります。

キャッシュは装束稲荷／装束榎の説明版付近にあります。
マイクロで磁石を使ってます。

大晦日の夜、「東国三十三国」の稲荷のお使いが関東総司の王子稲荷に参集しまず。
その前に、この社にある榎の下で衣装を改めた、という伝承があります。
歌川広重の浮世絵、江戸名所百景「狐王子装束ゑの木大晦日の狐火」にも描かれた物語です。

こちらでは「商売繁盛」「衣装に不自由しない」「火防の神」のご利益があるといわれています。
