Salzkammergut exploring unknown, unmarked or forgotten paths.
It was inititated by Dieter who had the ideas and showed us the
locations.
#2 From Baalstein to Sonnstein
Duration: 5-6h (car-cache-car)

Ability: Surefootedness
Be prepared for a path as small as one foot, steep and
slippery terrain. Do not try to do this alone.
Searching for this cache is on your own risk.
Reversing the cachetour is possible but not recommended
The tour could include searching for Geißwand, Kleiner Sonnstein, Großer Sonnstein
... for those about to rock ...

Park your car at N47° 50.730' E013° 47.243' and walk along the
marked path until you reach N47° 50.683' E013° 46.564'. Follow the
hikingpath until you reach Baalstein and later Geisswand to enjoy
the extraodinary views over the lake. |

After leaving the rocks behind advance to N47° 50.404' E013°
46.456'. |

Follow the street until you reach N47° 49.906' E013° 45.934'
the real start of the challenge. Don't forget if you loose the
trail, watch out for yellow dots on trees. |

After finding the cache at N47° 49.693' E013° 46.339' you can
decide whether to head for "Grosser Sonnstein" or to follow my
original idea to meet some Kleiner Sonnstein Tourists |

downwards to end a long and challenging hike. |
