Since I discovered this game of Geocaching 4 years ago it has become an addiction that shows no sign of abating, in fact the condition is getting worst with the spread of caching power trails! The odd cache here and there is just not enough to feed my habit – there has to be a sting of them and I need them almost every day hence I’ve now spent 1000 days to feed this hunger of mine – so, I say, why not have one at a pub and celebrate the problem that I’ve incurred!
The Royal Oak is Harvey’s of Lewes Brewery’s only tied pub in London. It provisions their complete range of beers which varies with the change of the season. Home cooked food is served too with prices ranging from £7 to £12. If the numbers warrants it I will book the room upstairs, but I can’t imagine many want to meet up with me with this chronic condition- remember, it’s very contagious!
Those who are brave enough to venture south of the Thames I look forward welcoming you and some of you may be aware that you owe me a pint or two – you know who you are!
If tonight gathering is successful I may make this a monthly affair – if all the Home Counties are able to hosts monthly Geocaching gatherings surely we Londoners can too!
