This is the first cache at the new Audubon Lake Wildlife Area in Reardan, WA. There is a large parking area (w/ handicap parking), bathroom, newly paved trail, and viewing area with two spotting scopes. There is a slight rise at the end leading to the viewing area. Very easy for children, adults, and should be OK for wheelchairs.
The cache is small and painted. It holds a log book and small pencil. I recommend bringing something to write with anyway. I will not give too many clues, it should be fairly easy. Please stay on the paved trail since there is new vegetation restoration in place. You do not have to go off trail to find cache.
Since this development is new, I am not sure about access in the winter. I will update as the weather changes.
**A Discover Pass is required to park in the lots.**
Directions: From Hwy 2 (Reardan), go north on Hwy 231, take 1st right after railroad tracks (Railroad Ave., no sign), take left on Audubon Way, you will see the parking area.
